Constructed from durable ABS plastic with a vibrant green finish, the unit combines a retro rounded silhouette with modern thermoelectric technology to achieve temperatures up to 18 °C below ambient without the use of compressors or CFCs. With a rated power consumption of only 60 watts and an annual energy use of 235 kWh, the fridge is both energy‑efficient and quiet, making it suitable for noise‑sensitive environments such as bedrooms, study areas, and shared office spaces. The interior offers a 4‑liter capacity, organized across two adjustable shelves that can accommodate up to six standard 12‑oz cans or a variety of small bottles, snack packs, and personal care items. A built‑in water dispenser adds convenience for quick hydration, while the right‑hand hinged door features a secure twist‑lock handle that prevents accidental opening during travel. The unit ships with both a 12 V DC plug for vehicle use and a 110 V AC cord for home or office power, providing seamless flexibility across multiple settings.

Usage

Designed with mobility in mind, the Koolatron Mini Fridge excels in a wide range of real‑world scenarios. In a dormitory setting, students can keep beverages, energy drinks, and perishable snacks within arm’s reach, eliminating the need for frequent trips to communal refrigerators. For professionals working from home or in small office cubicles, the fridge serves as a personal refreshment station, maintaining a steady supply of cold water, coffee, or chilled lunch items throughout the workday. Travelers and road‑trippers benefit from the 12 V DC capability, allowing the fridge to be powered directly from a car cigarette lighter or a portable power bank, making it ideal for camping trips, road trips, or long‑distance commuting. Outdoor enthusiasts can place the unit on a patio table or garden bench to keep drinks cool during summer barbecues, garden parties, or poolside gatherings. Additionally, the frost‑free design ensures that users never have to manually defrost the unit, preserving valuable storage space and reducing maintenance effort. The compact size also makes it an excellent fit for RVs, boats, and tiny homes where space is at a premium.

FAQ

Can the fridge be used while traveling in a car?

Yes. The included 12 V DC plug connects directly to a vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket, allowing the fridge to operate while the engine is running or when the car is parked with the ignition off.

How long does it take to reach the desired cooling temperature?

Under typical room temperatures (around 22 °C/72 °F), the thermoelectric system can lower the interior temperature by up to 18 °C within 30‑45 minutes, depending on the ambient heat load and the amount of content inside.

Is the unit safe for storing medication such as insulin?

Yes. The fridge maintains a consistent, low temperature without temperature fluctuations caused by compressor cycles, making it suitable for temperature‑sensitive items like insulin, vitamins, and other medications.

What is the warranty coverage?

The product comes with a one‑year limited warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship. Customers can contact Koolatron support for troubleshooting, replacement parts, or a full unit replacement if a covered issue arises.

Does the fridge require any batteries?

No external batteries are needed. The unit draws power directly from the supplied AC or DC source, and the internal components are designed to operate efficiently without additional battery packs.
